This is an extremely popular option because laughing gas has few side effects and wears off quickly after treatment. If you use laughing gas, you probably won’t fall asleep, but you will be in a relaxed state for your treatment.

Oral sedation dentistry could also help. If you choose this option, you’ll take an oral medication before you come for your visit in order to be fully relaxed before treatment. However, please note that if you choose this form of sedation, you won’t be able to drive yourself home, as the effects can take more time to wear off.
